The Nevada cannabis industry is highly regulated, and agents, cultivators, owners and board members are required by law to obtain Cannabis Agent Work Cards in order to own and/or work in a cannabis establishment. As an approved vendor for the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board and the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Fingerprinting Express has processed a high volume of fingerprints for cannabis agent work card applications. It is important to choose a seasoned vendor to process your fingerprint background check. Using a fingerprint vendor with less experience may result in a delay in employment and licensing.

The Fingerprinting Process for Cannabis Agent Registration Cards in Nevada

In order to start working in the cannabis industry, first you must complete the Cannabis Establishment Agent Card application, which includes having a recent photo done. Here are the basic steps you will need to complete:

1. Register for an account in the Accela Citizens Access portal and submit an Agent Registration Card application online.

2. You will need to upload your passport quality photo and a valid government issued identification into your application.

3. Submit your online application, along with the registration fee (per category).

4. Immediately following your application being submitted you will receive a confirmation email that contains your fingerprint submission form.

5. Bring the Agent Fingerprint Submission Form to one of Fingerprinting Express’s convenient locations. We will submit your fingerprints electronically via Livescan, and the technician will sign, date, stamp, and note the TCN number(s) (if applicable) on your fingerprint submission form.

6. Return to your online application and upload your completed fingerprint submission form to each application that you have in process.

Cannabis Agent Registration Card Renewals

If you currently hold an agent registration card, it will be valid for two years following the date of issue of your Temporary Agent Card. The cannabis agent registration card renewal process is the same as the initial application process. The Cannabis Compliance Board recommends starting the renewal process thirty days before expiration so you don’t risk expiration and a lapse in employment.
